Disneyland 2011
My brother Mike recently got married in San Diego. Since we had to go all the way to California, we took advantage of that and went to Disneyland. Grandma and Grandpa spoiled us and bought all of our tickets, it was such a fun time. All of these pictures just make me smile. Tyler was tall enough to ride all of the rides this time and he was so excited to go on Indiana Jones and the Screamer. We lucked out and missed the Christmas rush. The lines weren't bad at all and we got everything done that we wanted to. It was my first time at Disneyland during Christmas and it was amazing!
Jacob and Chelsey got drenched on Splash Mountain and Chelsey was even wearing a poncho!
I don't even remember how many times we rode Toy Story, it has always been a favorite! My dad was the undefeated champion of the trip until the very last ride when my brother Mike beat him, Mike said it was his pre-wedding jitters that helped him score so high!
Tyler was the only one who requested a souvenir this trip. After seeing all there was we went back late on our last night to pick up his gun. Then we met up with everyone in Downtown Disney and enjoyed a little shopping.
Farewell Disneyland, until next time!
Thanksgiving 2011
We had a lovely Thanksgiving this year with Kirk's family. Sadly, we didn't get the camera out! That seems to be happening too often. Late that night we headed down to Rockville and I how can you not get your camera out when you are surrounded by these views? I love it down there!
The boys playing football. And they all came in sweating afterwards!
I stole most of these next pictures from my mom. My brother Mike made a movie with my boys a couple of years ago, here is a pic of the boys watching it, they love it.
So he started filming another one and these pictures just make me laugh!
I can't wait to see the movie when it is finally done!
Let's Start Back at Tyler's Birthday
So Tyler turned 7 years old back in November and we had such a fun party with him and a few friends from school. We went to Trafalga and the kids had a blast!
This present was such a huge hit! It was a homemade colored pencil/marker holder that rolls up and stays together with an elastic. Ethan wanted one for Christmas. I got the pattern, but I have not yet made one. I thought it was such a great idea and I couldn't believe how excited my boys were.
This present was another huge it. Does anyone remember stompers? This was pretty much a stomper with some tracks to drive one. It has provided lots of entertainment for all of my boys, such a fun toy!
Tyler wanted a Leap Pad for his birthday. It is like a little learning ipad thing for kids. So I went to the store the day before his birthday to pick one up. Little did I know that they are impossible to find! I spend the whole day calling stores all over the state and couldn't find one, not even online. So he didn't get one, but I don't think he was too disappointed because he ended up with a new 3DS, lucky kid!
